Welcome to the Montana Agriculture Innovation Center website.

The Montana Agriculture Innovation Center was funded by authorization in the 2002 Farm Bill and was established in Montana in September of 2004. In accordance with the legislation the center operates to foster the entrepreneurial ability of agricultural producers, allowing them to reap the benefits of producing and marketing value-added products.

Through a partnership with Montana State University’s College of Agriculture and five established regional economic development centers the Montana Agriculture Innovation Center delivers the technical assistance requested. These partnerships allow the Center to work closely and directly with the producer/entrepreneurs in the search for innovative opportunities. The efforts of this partnership are to focus on increasing agricultural income to participating Montana producers.

Our Goal

The Montana Agricultural Innovation Center will provide Montana’s agricultural producers with support and technical assistance in the assessment and implementation of a value-added process or product. We will assist the agricultural entrepreneur guide their enterprise from concept to a thriving value-added agricultural business thus enhancing profitability.
